As part of the Staff's
immersion of the revised English Syllabus,
a
series of six Functional Grammar Workshops were facilitated to develop
a deeper understanding of the associated terminology and concepts.
Functional Grammar allows an examination of language in context and
specifically
focuses on the function of words and word patterns to assist
students make
meaning from texts and compose their own quality texts.
